ABOUT FANAF
The Federation of African National Insurance Companies, better known as “FANAF”, was created on March 17, 1976 in Yamoussoukro (Republic of Côte d’Ivoire).
A professional association with headquarters in Dakar, Senegal, FANAF brings together 203 Member Companies including:

Member Companies operate in the 29 following countries: Algeria, Bahrain, Benin, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Congo Brazzaville, Côte d’Ivoire, Democratic Republic of Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Ghana, Guinea Conakry, Kenya, Madagascar, Mali, Mauritania, Morocco, Niger, Nigeria, Rwanda, Senegal, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Tanzania, Togo, Tunisia.
AS A HIGHLY REPRESENTATIVE PROFESSIONAL ORGANIZATION, FANAF PURSUES THE FOLLOWING OBJECTIVES:

the promotion of Insurance and Reinsurance in Africa

the representation and defense of the interests of the profession

the establishment of structures for reflection and cooperation in the field of Insurance and Reinsurance

the continuous training of the personnel of the Insurance sector

To achieve these noble objectives, FANAF has three statutory bodies, including two decision-making bodies (the General Assembly and the Executive Board) and an executive body, the General Secretariat.
